MaptoCraft Beta

Turn real-world places into downloadable Minecraft worlds.

About

Build Minecraft worlds from real places

MaptoCraft turns a selected place into a downloadable Minecraft Java ZIP or Experimental Bedrock .mcworld. It runs in the browser, uses public map data, and packages the selected edition locally.

Map

Real-world source data

Selections are based on public OpenStreetMap data, so streets, buildings, paths, and mapped features become the source for the generated world.

Browser

Local generation workflow

The generation pipeline runs in the browser with a WebAssembly worker, then packages the output as a Java Edition save or Experimental Bedrock Edition import archive.

Control

Custom area and spawn

MaptoCraft supports a custom selection, flat or terrain-enabled generation, scale controls, a spawn point picked from the map, initial time of day, and automatic location-based climate.

MaptoCraft is an independent project and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. Climate-based surfaces and biomes use the Köppen-Geiger classification by Beck et al. (2023), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
